Holy Week: Good Friday

In Roman Catholic Church, the Good Friday is a day of the commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross, the act that brought salvation to all who believe Him. It is the culmination of Holy Week, which begins on Palm Sunday, and it takes place two days before Easter Sunday. Every year we're celebrating holy week, also in other countries. Good Friday may be called as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or even Black Friday. Since this tradition is celebrated annually, people are having their own way of celebrating the Holy week.

What's more about Good Friday? The Filipino tradition in whole Holy week is walking to what they have always called "Grotto". That is the place where they can pray the Station of the Cross. They read the step by step sequence of the prayer of the Holy Rosary. All Christians in the world mark the date of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ this Friday. Although I am not attending regularly every Sunday mass, but I am still aware of what are the changes in our Roman Catholic beliefs.
